Job Description:
SUNY System Administration was awarded a $32M contract for the development and deployment of the Direct Service Professional (DSP) microcredential. This award will support the credit-bearing credential at approximately 20 campuses across the SUNY system. This position will support the Principal Investigator by coordinating the campuses agreements and subsequent updates, and post-award budget monitoring including expenditure reporting, rebudgeting requests, and compliance with program guidance. This position will be part of a team working with the Sponsor (NYS OPWDD) and SUNY System administrators to provide education and training for the DSP workforce.

Performs post award grant management for SUNY System Administration's sponsored agreement with NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). This position is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of agreements with SUNY campuses using knowledge of grant and contract management (research administration) rules and regulations, technical expertise, and analytical skills. This position will be one of several on a team of professionals supporting the implementation of the SUNY Direct Support Professional Microcredential program.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare, coordinate, and manage campus award agreements and modifications for performance under SUNY's agreement with OPWDD.
  • Manage SUNY's award agreement with OPWDD and any subsequent modifications.
  • Manage overall and subward budgets, reporting and timelines through the lifecycle of the grant or contract.
  • Reconcile monthly budget reports from campuses and inform PI and/or supervisor of corrections/adjustments that have been made.
  • Prepare and submit reports to Supervisor for sponsor reporting.
  • Monitor compliance with OPWDD and SUNY regulations regarding submission; verify all financial information to include application of the appropriate overhead rates for the project.
  • Prepare and submit requests for rebudgeting/modifying the funded project budget.
  • Monitor compliance with OPWDD and SUNY regulations regarding reporting.
  • Maintain financial records per SUNY documents retention guidelines.
  • Closeout campus projects consistent with project process and timelines

Requirements:
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Extensive computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Research or grants experience and education and/or certification is preferred.

Note: this project is funded by a term limited contract sponsored by NYS OPWDD.

Salary Range- The compensation for this role is between $67,000 to $77,000, with a target of $75,000. The pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certifications
